Happy Birthday Evergreen!
Published: Friday, 22 March 2013 08:10

This March sees Evergreen Joinery celebrate one year since they moved from their Croydon workshop to their new premises at 59-61 High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill. Proprietor of Evergreen Joinery, Richard Colwill says the new premises are ideal, with a spacious workshop on site where all their work is produced. Richard said: "We love it here. We are very impressed wth how many people in Caterham want to use local businesses rather than going elsewhere. Having the workshop out the back here means our customers can come and see where their product is being made."

Richard has been working with Stan Brooker, another professional joiner for 30 years. Stan has been in the trade for 40 years and trained Richard. Another member of the team is Jason Scoones who has ten years' experience as a joiner.

Richard said: "We are very proud that our work is hand made rather than being turned out on a machine. Not many people make things by hand now. Our skill-set is becoming a rare commodity."

Evergreen Joinery uses a variety of high quality wood from sustainable sources including American White Oak and Mahogany from the Gold Coast.

For further information about Evergreen Joinery's products and services call them on 01883 342574 or pop in to their showroom to meet Richard and his team.
