'Crazy Hair' choir raises funds for Comic Relief
Published: Friday, 08 April 2011 10:23

The Warlingham Park School choir is presented with a cheque for £984.68 by Sainsbury's.

The Warlingham Park School Junior Choir attracted plenty of attention in Sainsbury's in Warlingham last month when they sang their red nose day songs while sporting 'crazy hair'! Customers kindly donated £984.68 that will be added to their sponsored bounce total of £1,700 for Comic Relief. The choir also became a Platinum Sing Up School this term, one of 80 in the whole country and just two in Surrey.

Debbie King of Warlingham Park School said: "For a small school we are very proud of the choir's achievements. We would like to say a big thank you to the management and customers of Sainsbury's for helping us raise such a large sum for Comic Relief."
