Hillcroft pupils help local families at Harvest Festival time
Published: Thursday, 07 November 2013 01:13

Hillcroft Primary School in Caterham-on-the-Hill teamed up with Don Hall from the Salvation Army for the preparations for their Harvest Festival celebrations this year. At this time of year the Salvation Army collects non-perishable foods which are later distributed to local families that have been affected by crisis.

Hillcroft Headteacher, Esther Brooks, said: "Whilst our food festival at harvest time focuses on the donations of non-perishable foods for distributing, as needed, throughout the community of Caterham, we are also mindful of how harvest crops are processed around the world at this time of year. We would like to thank the children, parents and carers for their generous donations this Harvest Festival."
