On Friday 10th January, the tots at Little Gems nursery in Caterham-on-the-Hill dressed up in silver for the day to celebrate the nursery's 25th anniversary. The nursery opened on January 10th 1989 at Caterham Methodist Church with six children and now has 45 children on role.

Owner of Little Gems, Hilary Gilbert, said: “We had a lovely day and the children were delighted when Peppa Pig and Iggle Piggle paid us a visit! They joined in with the singing and other activities and stayed with the children while they had their party food.

“We were also joined by Doris Nichols and Pam Bartholomeusz who have been part of Caterham Methodist Church all the 25 years that Little Gems have used the premises and they have always been very supportive of Little Gems.”

The celebrations ended with the cutting of a birthday cake and everyone singing Happy Birthday. For more information about Little Gems nursery call Hilary Gilbert on 01883 343678.
