'Little Treasures' celebrates ten years
Published: Thursday, 30 September 2010 02:23

On Saturday 11th September, Little Treasures Preschool and Day Nursery celebrated its 10th anniversary with a Fun Day for past, present and future families. One of the tots gets stuck in with some paints. Photo by www.localeventphotos.co.uk

Little Treasures opened in part of the army NAAFI in September 2000. It was one of the first businesses on the newly developed Caterham barracks site. After a year, the nursery premises were completely renovated and developed into the bright, colourful facility that it is today. Since then it has grown in size and popularity and now has a separate room for the pre-school with its own garden set on the 'Village' green.

The Fun Day was a great success, offering lots of activities. Indoors there was a bouncy castle, face painting, mask making (in conjunction with The Arc), cake sale and much more, while a barbeque, sand and water play, craft activities and ride on toys were available in the two newly developed nursery gardens.

Little Treasures is a family run facility and is recognised by its families as offering a homely environment which is welcoming and friendly. At the Fun Day, thanks were given to the experienced staff team who work tirelessly to make Little Treasures such a successful nursery and are totally dedicated to the children and their families. Flowers were presented to three members of staff; Wendy Quigley, Agnes Dalgleish and Sheila Page who started work at the nursery when it opened.

The nursery offers day care for children from birth to school age from 7.30am to 6pm. If you would like a visit or have any questions you are welcome to call 01883 343678.
