Golfers raise funds for Clifton Hill School
Published: Thursday, 28 October 2010 04:48

Clifton Hill School in Caterham received some special visitors during the summer, when members of North Downs Golf Club in Woldingham paid a visit to present a cheque for ¡ê8,099.60. The money had been raised by the patrons and members of the golf club through various fundraising events and donations. The money is to go towards a wheelchair swing for the playground which will benefit the school's pupils who have profound and multiple learning difficulties. Andrea Ashton-Coulton from Clifton Hill School said: "We are extremely grateful to the members of North Downs Golf Club for helping to raise the funds needed to support our project. It has also forged links between the two organisations with a number of our students practising golf at North Downs."
