Schoolchildren sing for charity as part of Classic FM's '123 Sing!'
Published: Thursday, 28 October 2010 05:02

On Friday 1st October Dunottar Junior School in Reigate along with guests from Oakhyrst Grange School in Caterham held an afternoon of singing to support Classic FM's initiative '123 Sing!' The idea was to have a weekend to promote singing by all, from novice to advanced and events have taken place all over the country. The children took part in a choral workshop which developed their singing technique, team work and the fun of singing. The afternoon started with some games to establish good posture, breathing and working together after which they rehearsed a song from Joseph And His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. At the end of the afternoon parents, family and friends were invited in for a miniconcert where the children could show off what they had learnt and perform their songs.

Donations were then collected for Music Makers, a charity supported by Classic FM, which provides music therapy for people of all ages.
