This month we feature Whyteleafe resident, Tom Dempsey, landlord of the Whyteleafe Tavern and Chairman of the North Tandridge Pubwatch scheme. Tom is also a member of the Whyteleafe Business Association and Whyteleafe Helping Hands.

Birthplace: Kildare, Ireland.

Marital Status: With longterm partner Becky.

Children: Ruth, 16 and Sarah, 12 who live in Ireland.

Cars: Range Rover Vogue.

Pets: Tipper and Millie (Tavern Papillon dogs).

Favourite holiday destination: Praia da Luz, Portugal.

Childhood hero: George Best.

Favourite Food & Drink: Tapas; Malibu and Coke.

Likes: Good Company.

Dislikes: Ignorant people.

Pastimes: Horse Racing and Drama.

Favourite books: Any history books.

Favourite TV show: Panorama.

Favourite song: 'American Pie'.

Who would you most like to throw a custard pie at? Seb Blatter.

Where would you most like to live? I love living in Whyteleafe.

Biggest influence on your life: My father.

Most embarrassing moment: Not being able to remember my pin number when paying the bill in a tapas restaurant.

Proudest moment: The recent switching on of the Christmas Lights in Whyteleafe.

Who would you most like to meet? Nelson Mandela.

If you won the Lottery jackpot, how would you spend it? The pub would become a self-service bar and free for all! No worries about the VAT increase.
