Seven-year-old Tabitha Wren stole the show at the Caterham and District Horticultural Society Spring Show on Saturday, 9th April. At the Society's first show of the year held at Hillcroft Primary School, Tabitha won five first places including the Woolwich Building Society Cup. Other winners included Mrs Fancourt, Mr P Chapman and Mr Joe Perera.

Following the presentation of the cups and awards, produce donated by the exhibitors was auctioned off to the visitors.

The Society, which has been established 125 years, holds three shows a year, gives talks and organises garden visits for its members. Their Trading Hut located behind the allotments in Westway, offers advice as well as selling seeds, bulbs, fertilisers and composts to its members.

The hut is open from 9.30am-12.00pm on Saturday mornings.

For membership enquiries and other information contact the membership secretary, Mrs Brohier, on 01883 242928.
