Beaver Scouts enjoy an action-packed day to celebrate their 25th birthday
Published: Wednesday, 25 May 2011 20:05

Beaver Scouts from across the district had a fun-filled day of activities at their 25th anniversary celebrations recently.

The event, organised by Beaver Scout leader Simon Edge and other helpers was held at St. John's Primary School in Caterham Valley on Saturday, 14th May.

The boys and girls had the opportunity to try out archery, hoist themselves up the scramble nets, tear around in go-karts and get crafty with badge-making plus a host of other activities packed into the day.

The event could not have taken place without the generous financial support of local businesses and organisations who sponsored the celebrations.

Simon said: "We were lucky with the weather because it threatened to rain all day, but the Beavers all had a great time. I am very grateful to the local community for supporting the event. The Beavers have had a day that they will remember for a very long time!"
