Round Table teamwork gets the job done!
Published: Friday, 27 May 2011 09:22

Members of the Caterham Round Table and a few young helpers at St. Lawrence's Church last weekend.

St. Lawrence's Ancient Church in Caterham-on-the-Hill has a smart new path thanks to the efforts of members of Caterham Round Table on Saturday 21st May. The old path was proving dangerous, especially for older visitors to the church and urgently needed re-laying. Caterham Round Table Chairman, Glen O'Dwyer, said: "St. Mary's Church is working hard to raise funds to renovate their old church hall but it would have cost a lot of money to pay someone to relay the path to the ancient church across the road. With all hands on board we can get the job done in one day and save St. Mary's some money. It's hard work, but there's plenty of banter and refreshment breaks along the way! For more information about Round Table call Glen on 01883 336633.
