Caterham Festival Street Party
Published: Friday, 27 May 2011 09:31

The children's Boat Race at last year's Street Party

One of the first events of this year's Caterham Festival will be the Street Party in the High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill from 12-6pm this Sunday, 29th June. The afternoon will start with the Boat Race, a hilarious spectacle not to be missed! There will be live performances throughout the afternoon on three stages, featuring music from local bands including The Stonebeats, The Antidote, Streets Apart and Stolen ID. Many of the shops on the High Street will be open for business and there will also be stalls and sideshows. A new attraction this year will be the Fifth Plinth, open to anyone who wants to stand upon it and speak, sing or tell some jokes to the crowd. For more information on the Street Party and a list of all the other events taking place during the Caterham Festival, visit www.caterhamfestival.org
