Council flies flag for Armed Forces

Chairman of the Council, Councillor Brian Perkins and his wife Sonia at the raising of the flag last Monday.

Tandridge District Council are flying a special flag to mark British Armed Forces Day tomorrow, Saturday 25th June.

Armed Forces Day is an opportunity for the nation to show its appreciation for the contribution made by all those who serve or have served in Her Majesty's Armed Forces.

All councils have been invited to join in by flying a specially commissioned flag. A wide range of community events are taking place across the country.

Chairman of the Council, Councillor Brian Perkins, said: "We are very pleased to support this day which aims to show recognition and appreciation for all those remarkable men and women who have fought or are still fighting for our country."
