Car hits pedestrians in Caterham-on-the-Hill

Two pedestrians outside the Royal Oak pub in the High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill were injured when they were knocked down by a car at approximately 1.30pm last Monday, 27th June. Two vehicles were involved in the accident, which involved a Vauxhall Astra mounting the pavement and hitting the pedestrians, a young man and woman, before crashing into an advertising hoarding. The pedestrians and a female passenger in the car, aged in her 20s, were taken to hospital with minor injuries. Traffic had to be diverted while South East Coast Ambulance, Surrey Fire and Rescue and Surrey Police attended the scene.
