The sixth annual Kenley Funday is being held on Kenley Common this Sunday, 10th July from 11am-4pm. There will be many traditional fete activities including craft stalls, children's sporting activities, face painting and birds of prey.

A flower display competition is being held, open to all ages and skills. There are three themes - 'Garden Party', 'Desert Island Disc' and 'Just My Imagination'. All entries should fit onto an area the size of an A4 page and be taken to the flower show from 11am for judging at 1.00pm by Carl Roche. The prizes will be awarded at 1.30pm.

The popular Dog Parade will be part of the event again this year, so dogs are welcome (on a lead) to show off their obedience skills and to join in the fun. Local Police officers will be present with bike identification equipment and are encouraging residents to bring along their bicycles for free security marking. The officers will be also helping St Barnabas Church run the Crockery Smash game.

A barbeque selling quality burgers (beef & veggie), hot dogs and cold drinks is being run by the Croydon Scout Active Support group and there will be a cream teas tent run by members of All Saints Church. There will also be a Pimms tent and ice cream van.

Kenley Common is at the end of Golf Rd, adjacent to the Kenley Airfield. Parking is available via the airfield entrance on Hayes Lane, just past the Old Lodge Lane Junction.
