Another successful Hill in Bloom competition came to a conclusion with the prize giving at Audley School in Caterham-on-the-Hill on Wednesday, 13th July.

The competition is run by Caterham-on-the-Hill Parish Council to encourage businesses and schools to make the Hill more attractive. There was a break from the usual residential classes, however it is hoped these will return next year.

Mary Mountain, Chairman of the Parish Council said: "I would like to thank everyone who entered and in particular the competition judge Mr Stebbings and Audley School for hosting the event."

Audley Primary School was awarded first prize in the Schools' Class. Hillcroft Primary School won second prize. The King and Queen pub won first prize in the Commercial Class; Second prize went to The Village Inn pub and third prize was awarded to the Caterham Ex-Servicemens Club and Royal British Legion.

Children from Audley Primary School celebrate their award with Premises Manager, Steve Butler.
