A Fun Day held at Whyteleafe Recreation Ground on Sunday 31st July raised over £700 for the children's charity, The Lily Foundation. The event featured a variety of stalls and sideshows as well as a barbecue and raffle, with a host of prizes kindly donated by local businesses and individuals. The event was organised by Donna Coote and her family and friends, who have been supporting the charity since it was set up three years ago to fund research into Mitochondrial Disease.

"I am really, really pleased with how the day went and to see so many people coming who had never heard of The Lily Foundation before," she said.

"I would like to thank everyone for coming and to all my friends who worked so hard to make the day a success."
