Art goes on display at the Soper Hall
Published: Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:22

From 23rd-25th September, the Soper Hall in Harestone Valley Road, Caterham, provided the setting for Caterham Art Group's 59th Annual Exhibition.

Nearly 200 paintings were on display comprising oils, watercolours and other media and craft items produced by members of the club. The display included award-winning works by local artists Noel Cunliffe, Ian Currie (Chairman of the club), Joel Tarling and Angela Huxley.

Visitors to the exhibition were invited to vote for their favourite painting. The winner of the John Bushby Award for the 'Public Choice' was the club's Programme Secretary, John Ward, pictured above with his watercolour entitled 'Dusk Flight'.
