CATER - Caterhams Emergency response
Published: Friday, 25 November 2011 11:36

CATER drivers with their Landrovers, from left, Andy Parr, Steve Stokes and Simon Edge.

This winter, local 4 by 4 drivers are once again making plans to assist the Nurses and Doctors at the Dene Hospital get to and from work should the snow come again.

Whilst others are having lie ins or snow days the volunteers will be getting up early to bring the staff in. Local driver Simon Edge said: "It's what a 4 by 4 is made for and it's good fun going up roads like Church Hill in the snow."

The volunteers may not be needed, but after the experience of the last two winters, they say they aren't taking a chance!

If you would like to assist, please call Andy Parr on 01883 340000
