Developers of Marie Curie site modify application following site visit by planning officers
Published: Wednesday, 22 February 2012 21:32

On Saturday 28th January members of the Tandridge District Council Planning Committee made a visit to the Marie Curie site in Harestone Valley Road, Caterham, led by Chief Planning Officer, Piers Mason. They were greeted by more than 40 neighbouring residents and local people anxious to show their concern at the proposals made by Independence Homes Ltd. for developing the site. Many mature trees were threatened by the proposals and in the view of residents, represented a massive overdevelopment of the site.

Since the visit to the site, Independence Homes have submitted new details on the application with further reports on energy, heritage, trees and viability and showing minor changes to building positions on the plans.

The revised Planning Application no. TA/:2011/1316 can be viewed on the Planning Portal at www.tandridge.gov.uk and comments can be left on the website or sent to the council by the deadline of Sunday, 6th March.
