Bonnets on parade in Church Walk

Spring arrived at Church Walk recently with the colourful Easter Bonnet fun day last Saturday, 7th April. Amongst the activities taking place throughout the day was free face painting for children outside Wimpy and an Easter Bonnet competition. Hosted by DJ Chris, 25 children entered the competition and all received an Easter egg donated by Morrison's and the Church Walk management team. Donations raised from the face painting and balloon modelling are being donated to the Ambulance Service Benevolent fund. There were also fundraising stalls run by Godstone Brownies and Wings.

The Easter Bonnet competition winners with the Mad Hatter, Sonia Hunt Town Crier and DJ Chris.'

The winners of the Easter Bonnet competition, judged by Sonia Hunt Town Crier, Burtons and Peter Groom Jewellery were:

1st – Grace Thompson aged 5 who attends Hillcroft School and lives in Caterham.

2nd – Trinity aged 4 who attends Lords Wood School and lives in Coulsdon.

3rd – Joint winners William and Sam Barker aged 5 and 3 who live in Warlingham

The prize winners each received a goodie bag sponsored by the shops in Church Walk.
