Hair-raising snap wins Scouts photography competition
Published: Thursday, 26 April 2012 20:51

‘Hair’ by Ben Burke. Overall Winner.

An action shot taken by Scout, Ben Burke, has won a recent photography competition organised for local Scouts and Cubs. The competition, sponsored by The Caterham and District Independent and Caterham Digital Limited attracted entries in four different categories - 'Scouting', 'Landscape', 'Wildlife' and 'Favourite' and the photos had to be taken on disposable cameras so that they could not be digitally enhanced. Ben wins a £25 voucher to spend in Caterham Digital in Croydon Road, Caterham and his photo will be enlarged and framed.

’Surprise Landing’ by Adam Stone. One of the three ‘Highly Commended’ entries.

The three Highly Commended entries have each won a £10 voucher for Caterham Digital. They go to Scout Adam Stone for his photo of a surprise balloon landing in Queen's Park on 11th March; Cub Niamh Burke for her colourful landscape photograph taken in Chaldon and Cub Caris Carpenter for her photo of a daffodil garden taken in Tupwood Lane, Caterham.
