Published: Friday, 06 July 2012 11:05

de Stafford Students delighted the audience with their "Summer Sounds" concert on 5th July. The concert at de Stafford School, Burntwood Lane, Caterham, showcased a wide range of musical talent with performances of modern songs from the school choir, the wind group Vientos, the school orchestra and the steel pan group. There were also solo performances from several pupils and group performances with teachers from the music department.

The evening was a great success with many friends and family turning up to support the performers and enjoy the entertainment.

Caroline Longhurst, Headteacher at de Stafford said: "This has been a lovely evening and I am so proud of every young person who has performed. I really admire the commitment of the staff in the music department and their sunny disposition has shone through in all the performances tonight."

The concert was organised by Amit Chadda, head of the music department at de Stafford with help from other members of the department.
