'Bye Bye Birdie' at The Barn
Published: Friday, 13 July 2012 11:27

Next week will see Oxted Junior Operatic Society presenting the musical, Bye Bye Birdie at The Barn Theatre in Bluehouse Lane, Oxted.

Bye Bye Birdie is one of the most captivating musical shows of its time. It tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army called Conrad Birdie, based on an Elvis Presley type. Albert Peterson, his agent, is a very pleasant mild mannered young man. Albert's faithful secretary Rose Alvarez keeps him and Birdie moving forward in the world. Rosie concocts one final national publicity plan before Conrad's induction.

Bye Bye Birdie is a satire done with the fondest affection and is a show that will be enjoyed by the cast as much as the audience!

Performances are being held at 7.30pm nightly from Wednesday 18th - Saturday 21st July 2012. There will also be a Saturday Matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets cost £12 for adults, £10 for children and £40 for a family (two adults and two children). Call the Ticket Secretary on 07530 528094 .
