Police in Devon are appealing for information following the discovery of a woman's body at a property in Exmouth at around 7.10pm on Wednesday 11th July.

Police have launched a murder investigation and are making enquires to trace a local man who is sought in connection with the death.

Police are urgently trying to locate Andrew Cane, a 30 year old man who they believe may be able to assist them in their enquiries.

Andrew Cane is described as being a white man, 6'2" in height clean shaven with brown short hair. He is believed to be in possession of a Blue Honda Civic motor vehicle registered number X178 XFJ and could be anywhere in the Country.

Police ask that if anyone sees this man or the Honda vehicle that they contact police immediately on 999 quoting police reference 0695 of 110712.
