Rotary Bunny Fun Run raises £3,000 for Disability Challengers

On Thursday, 28th June the members of Caterham Rotary Club were delighted to welcome Lucy Sharma, Community Fundraiser for Disability Challengers to their lunchtime meeting at the Surrey National Golf Club in Chaldon. During the meeting David Mole, the outgoing President of Caterham Rotary, presented Lucy with a cheque for £3,000 as part of the proceeds of this year’s Rotary Bunny Fun Run.

On receiving the cheque, Lucy said: “Thank you to everyone who helped to raise this money for Disability Challengers. The money will go towards providing sporting activities for disabled young people, which can transform the quality of their lives.”

The current total of money raised for various charities by the runners and walkers who took part in the Run on Sunday 1st April is £7,610. Donations ranged from a few pounds from individuals to thousands from teams.

The Stragglers raised over £2,000 for Sutton Croydon MS Therapy Centre and 1st Caterham St. Mary’s Scout Group raised over £1,500 for their trip to Malta.
