Father of the bride says a big 'thank you' to David Gold
Published: Friday, 26 October 2012 06:24

Bride and groom Nicola and Adam Bailey had a lovely surprise on their wedding day, thanks to Nicola's father, Malcolm Skilton, helped by David Gold.

Malcom had booked a helicopter from Redhill Aerodrome to whisk the newly-weds to their reception at the Surrey National Golf Club in Chaldon on their wedding day on 31st August, but had nowhere for the helicopter to land to pick up the happy couple. Malcolm wrote to David Gold to ask if the helicopter could take off from Mr Gold's garden at The Chalet in Tupwood Lane. Mr Gold not only gave permission but he greeted Nicola and her new husband when they arrived at The Chalet on their wedding day and had photos taken with them before the helicopter whisked the grateful couple off to surprise their waiting guests at the Surrey National Golf Club in Chaldon.
