Charity Car Wash
Published: Friday, 26 October 2012 11:18

On Saturday 27th October, motorists are being invited to get their cars cleaned at a charity car wash in the Tesco car park, Caterham-on-the-Hill. The car wash will be open from 10.30am to 3.30pm, and will be manned by volunteers from the youth café at The Arc, Caterham.

The youth café provides a safe and fun place for local 13-17 year olds on Tuesday evenings. Money raised from the car wash will fund equipment and events for the youth café.

Also car washing that day will be Beth Wood and John Soffe from the Arc; Terry Pritchard, Caterham Barracks Warden; Dick Moran, Caterham Barracks Community Trust; local police officers Andy Simms, Mike Gavin and Amy Ord; and local councillor David Gosling.

The volunteers will be charging £5 for a full car wash and £2 for wheel cleaning. The car wash will take place within the Tesco car park, on the other side of the road to Skaterham, next to the Warden's hut.
