Caterham-on-the-Hill Parish Council recently issued the following invitation to a public meeting: "The former Pinewood Garage site at the junction of Chaldon Road and Westway (next to the Raglan Precinct) in Caterham-on-the-Hill is an eyesore and is in urgent need of improvement. A local architect is keen to progress development there, and Caterham-on-the-Hill Parish Council will host a discussion on possible future uses for the site.

"A public meeting exploring options for re-use of this site will take place at 7.30pm on Friday 18th January at Hillcroft School, Chaldon Road, Caterham on the Hill. Local residents and others with an interest in securing a viable and acceptable development at this site are welcome to attend."
