Fun for all at the Rotary 'Oompah Night'
Published: Friday, 15 March 2013 10:50

Over 150 people attended Caterham Rotary Club's "Oompah Night" last Saturday at de Stafford School in Burntwood Lane Caterham.

They were entertained by the 5-piece Edelweiss Show Band who kept their audience's attention all evening with a variety of Bavarian music, dancing, singing and participation in games.

Catering was provided by Club member David Monk who had prepared a sumptuous two-course supper.

Over £1,000 was raised on the night and is being donated to the Club's Wheelchair Foundation project sending wheelchairs to designated people living in villages in Kenya.

President Peter Georgiades commented: " We had a really fun night whilst raising important funds which are going to be used to make a real difference to people's lives in Africa."
