Sally Marks becomes Vice Chairman of Surrey County Council

On Tuesday 21st May at a meeting of the Full Council, County Councillor for Caterham Valley, Sally Marks, was appointed Vice Chairman of Surrey County Council.

Sally has stepped into the shoes of David Munro, the County Councillor for Farnham who has replaced Lavinia Sealy as the new Chairman.

In his acceptance speech to the members of the council Mr Munro said: "It is a fantastic honour to become your Chairman and I'm acutely aware that I have a lot to live up to."

On accepting her appointment as Vice Chairman, Mrs Marks told her fellow councillors: "I will promise to do the very best I can in the role to support David Munro."
