Cashier threatened with knife at Oxted Morrisons

A man in his 50s has been arrested after a cashier was threatened with a knife at a supermarket in Oxted.

The incident occurred at the Morrisons store on East Hill around 12.30pm on Friday 19th July.  Officers were quickly deployed to the scene and an area search was conducted.

A man was arrested a short time later on Hoskins Road on suspicion of attempted robbery and remains in police custody at this time.

The cashier, a woman in her 40s, was not injured during the incident but was left shaken.
