Burger Bonanza for Caterham, Oxted & Godstone Lions
Published: Friday, 30 August 2013 10:55

The Caterham, Oxted and Godstone Lions made their regular appearance at the Godstone Fête on Bank Holiday Monday (August 26th). From 10am they were cooking and selling bacon rolls to hungry stallholders, who had been up from the crack of dawn setting up. Throughout the day families and fête-goers queued up to sample the COGs famous hot-dogs and burgers, candyfloss and popcorn.

The lions had to temporarily stall their candyfloss making, however, when the wasps were getting dangerously close. But with some manoeuvring of equipment and location by the quick-thinking Lions, children were soon getting their sweet fix again.

Money raised from the sales on Monday will go back into local causes.

COGs will be attending and selling treats at a Sibelco awareness event on Saturday September 14th at North Park and tickets are also on sale for their Quiz Night on September 28th at the White Hart Barn, Godstone. For tickets call John Quincey on 01883 742680.
