Three arrested following egg-throwing assault

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with an incident where a three-year-old boy was hit with an egg in Caterham.

Two 18-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy from Westerham, West Wickham and Reigate have been arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released on police bail until Thursday, 17 October while the investigation continues.

The incident occurred just before 9am on Thursday, 12 September as the boy and his mother were waiting to cross traffic lights at Chaldon Road.

Anyone who has information on which may assist with the investigation and who has not already spoken with officers is urged to contact Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference TD/13/4398 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
