Cake sale at The Dene raises cash for St. Catherine’s Hospice
Published: Thursday, 07 November 2013 01:01

On Tuesday 22nd October Victoria Lawrence from St. Catherine's Hospice visited The Dene coffee shop at Knights Garden Centre in Woldingham to receive a cheque for £1,131.52 for the hospice. The money was raised on the weekend of 28th and 29th September, when the staff at The Dene held their charity 'Bake and Take' sale. The coffee shop's suppliers had kindly donated either cakes or ingredients to help the staff raise money for St. Catherine's Hospice, a charity which is close to their hearts.

Manager at The Dene, Carole Harris said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved, either by making or buying the cakes. We are very proud to have raised so much for St. Catherine's and we are looking forward to running this event again next year."
