Spooky restaurant opens for one night only!
Published: Friday, 08 November 2013 10:30

On Halloweeen Night there were some very spooky goings-on in Caterham Valley courtesy of Ridge Radio. Members of the Ridge Radio team and their helpers decorated the empty premises next door to the radio station in Croydon Road, turning it into a scary 'restaurant' called 'Hannibal's Place'. Around 380 young and not-so-young Halloween revellers visited the venue to take part in themed activities in a safe environment.

Afterwards, Mark Jones of Ridge Radio said: "I am very sad that Hannibal's Place restaurant has closed already! The event was a huge success and I would like to thank everyone who helped on the night. Local businesses Subway and Waitrose were also brilliant, contributing platters of food for the helpers and staff to help run the activities.

"It was truly a community event and did what we set out to achieve, providing a cheap, safe evening out for our community."
