Year 7 students at Oasis Academy Coulsdon were introduced to some very interesting creatures during a special assembly this week including an Albino Python, a Bearded Dragon, an African Pygmy Hedgehog and the smallest turtles in the world!

Fish Farm owner and animal breeder Peter Hovey, took the animals along to the Academy to show the students.  Peter talked about his livelihood and also gave a short talk about how he lived his life according to his beliefs.  Peter and his colleagues from Gideon's International gave all Year 7 students a New Testament Bible, which they said could provide help and guidance with many issues faced by young people today.

Far from being scared, the students couldn’t wait to hold the creatures and raced to join the ‘cuddle queue’ at the end of the assembly!
