On Friday 31st January, parents and guests packed the Caterham-on-the-Hill HQ of the Caterham Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets of T.S. Zephyr for their annual Awards Presentation Night. Guest of Honour, Lieutenant Commander Loveridge attended the event along with representatives from Caterham Round Table and town crier, Sonia Hunt. Royal Marine Detachment Commander, Serjeant John Wood, explained that the presentation night is held so that parents can find out what their children have been doing over the past year and how successful they have been on District and National courses.

It is also a chance for groups that have supported the cadets over the last 12 months to see where the money donated by them has been spent and the range of opportunities the cadets have had during the past year. For more information about the group visit www.seacadets. org/caterham
