Warwick Davis, star of Harry Potter films and most recently on our TV screens in Life’s Too short and An Idiot Abroad 3 is urging people to support Marie Curie Cancer Care's Great Daffodil Appeal which takes place in March. He wants people to donate an hour to help someone in their final hours.

The legendary film star, who is currently on a debut theatre tour with his Reduced Height Theatre Company, took part in a photo call for the charity to get volunteers to take to the streets to sell the charity's well-known yellow daffodil pins.

Marie Curie volunteer, Karen Green, said: “By becoming a Great Daffodil Appeal collector, you will help families make the most of the time they have together. All you need to do is encourage as many people as possible in your area to give a donation and wear a daffodil pin to show their support for our work. Karen collected for the charity last year and said: “Collecting for the Great Daffodil Appeal was so much fun. I knew I wanted to do more to help such a worthwhile charity.”

To be able to continue its work in Surrey, Marie Curie Cancer Care urgently needs your help. The time you contribute will help Marie Curie Cancer Care look after people with a terminal illness in your local area. So please give just an hour or so and raise vital funds for the 13 Marie Curie Nurses who work throughout Surrey. If you would like to know more about the charity or how you can help, please call Yvonne Orr, Fundraiser, on 01883 832648, or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
