Leon prepares for next big fight

Former Crystal Palace FC player turned pro boxer Leon McKenzie has been put through his paces at a local scaffolding yard during training for his next fight.

In true ‘Rocky’ style, Leon made use of the equipment at Formark Scaffolding, the Whyteleafe based company that has agreed to sponsor the unbeaten super-middleweight fighter as he prepares for his up-coming bout.

Literally fighting back from experiencing the highs of Premier League football to the lows of prison, Leon is following in the footsteps of his father Clinton McKenzie (British and European Light Welterweight Champion) and his uncle Duke (three-weight World Champion) who are both training Leon.

After three wins and a draw the fighter known as 'Big McK' to his fans returns to the ring at York Hall, Bethnal Green, on Saturday 17th May for his first six-round bout.
