Published: Wednesday, 12 May 2010 18:44

Surrey Police are carrying out a murder investigation after a man who was found with a stab wound in Redhill died in hospital this afternoon.

Officers were called to an address in Observatory Walk at around 11.12am on Tuesday 11 May and found a man, in his 30s, in a serious condition following a puncture wound to the neck.

He was taken to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel by air ambulance where he remained until he sadly died late this afternoon.

One man remains in police custody after being arrested in connection with the incident. A second man was released without charge.

Call 0845 125 2222 for all non-emergency policing matters.

Call 999 if you have a genuine emergency requiring the attendance of the police (eg a crime is in progress or someone is in immediate danger).

Call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you have information about crime and don't want to leave your name.
