The Caterham Festival - What's in it for you?

The Caterham Festival 2010 is now upon us and the programmne of activities is even more packed and varied than last year's inaugural Festival. New events lined up for this year include the International Food Festival in Croydon Road on Sunday, 6th June, and 'Waller Pain', the tough cycle race up Waller Lane on Sunday 13th June, the day after the Caterham Carnival. The biggest new event will be DeFest, the two day music festival at De Stafford School on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th June which, in the true spirit of the Caterham Festival, promises to have something for everyone.

The fun kicks off this Sunday, 30th May with the Street Party in the High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill. The shops and pubs have been stocking up in anticipation of rather more passing trade than usual, if last year's fantastic success is anything to go by!

Street Party organiser and Caterham Festival Chairman, Andy Parr, said: "I'm looking forward to another great day and am hoping the sun shines like it did last year. I'm delighted that we have more helpers this year and it is going to be a lovely day for Caterham".

In addition to the lively outdoors fun will be events during the Festival that highlight other cultural activities including art, music and dance. The Caterham Dene Hospital Fete on Sunday 27th June will be the last event on the Festival calendar.
