Little Legs for Life… because kids care too!!
Published: Friday, 25 June 2010 10:53

170 pairs of little legs raced for life in the first ever 'Little Legs for Life' event at Caterham School on Sunday 6th June.

A child who had been touched by cancer had an idea which developed into the unique sponsored walk/run for children.

The idea inspired Caterham resident, Jane Warner, who together with a Croydon team of volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the Caterham Little Legs for Life event was a fun and exciting day to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Jane said: "I know first hand how cancer can impact people’s lives. Children want to contribute to putting an end to the devastation this disease causes in a way that enables them to have fun and really feel they are making a difference.

"We would like to thank all the schools in the area for being so supportive. We  are hoping to raise around £10,000 for Cancer Research UK, and thank everyone who turned up and gave their support to such a worthy charity. Without the commitment of the general public it would not be possible to fund vital research and continue the enormous progress made so far."
