Oakhyrst pupils perform 'Ragamuffin Man'

Earlier this week, on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday, 7th July, the pupils of Oakhyrst Grange School in Stanstead Road, Caterham entertained their family and friends with performances of the lively musical, 'Ragamuffin Man”'by Jon Fielder.

The show was based on the true story of how the first home for destitute boys and girls was set up in London. 'Ragamufin Man' has been performed in a number of different venues in the past, such as the Dorchester Hotel and the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Oakhyrst pupils ranging in age from four to eleven appeared in the show which was directed by headteacher, Alex Gear. The main characters included 'Dr Bernado' played by Harry Ford, 'Syrie Elmsley' played by Aimée Egglesfield, 'Carrots' played by Henry Bunce and 'Jim Jarvis 'played by Sofie Spacey.
