On Saturday 21st June at 7am, three intrepid cyclists known as 'Team Smile' set off from Foxon Lane in Caterham dressed in some very strange outfits to cycle to Rye and back to raise money for Shine and The Arc in Caterham. Anthony Lavey, Alex Corps and Steven Longley reached their destination on Saturday evening then headed back on Sunday, cycling 131 miles in just 21 hours and raising £500 for their chosen charities.
