'COGS' celebrate their new Lions year
Published: Wednesday, 02 July 2014 20:03

On Sunday 29th June the Caterham, Oxted and Godstone Lions ('COGS') had a celebratory garden party marking the new Lions year at the home of Lion Lesley Day and husband Malcolm in Heathway, Chaldon. Lions and guests enjoyed chatting in the garden over a Pimms, followed by a lavish buffet lunch, with contributions from everybody.

Lion President Fran Pavely of Godstone thanked and congratulated the club for such a successful year of fundraising and providing support within the community.

She also acknowledged the hugely enjoyable social events throughout the year for the club arranged by Lions David and Angela Annenberg of South Godstone.

Fran will remain president for this Lions year as elected president, Lion Ken Reissland was unable to take up the post due to health problems. Ken and his wife Lion Rita are in the thoughts of everybody in the club.

The club is always delighted to have guests attend a meeting to find out about their work within the community. To find out more email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call Tony Skilbeck on 01883 335945.
