East Surrey Funding Fair – Wednesday 24 February 10am-1pm

St Joseph’s Church, Ladbroke Road, Redhill RH1 1LF
Come along to a free event for voluntary, community and faith groups who want to meet potential funders and learn how to make successful funding applications.  Meet representatives from Big Lottery, Tesco Community Fund, Surrey Community Buildings Fund, Community Foundation for Surrey and hear from local organisations who have been successful in securing funding.

FREE Training courses for volunteers

TVSC has set up a programme of FREE training courses for volunteers in partnership with Workers’ Educational Association (WEA).   All courses are held in the meeting room at The Community Hub in Oxted.

Tuesday 9 February    10am-1pm

Getting The Most Out Of Your Volunteers

If your organisation recruits and uses volunteers this course will provide a brief overview of the issues that need to be addressed when working with volunteers..

 

Thursday 25 February 10am-12.30pm

Introduction to Basic First Aid

 

Tuesday 1 March          10am – 1pm

The Essential Guide To Online Safety

Most people pick up their online safety skills as they go along. This course will give you the essential skills

you need to stay safe in cyber space.

 

Tuesday 8 March          10am – 1pm

Putting The Business Into Your Charity

Aimed at volunteers this course covers how and why a business approach is of benefit to community/charity organisations, looking at the benefits of producing a business case, and using a number of practical exercises for assessing and evaluating activities.
