On Thursday 15th July it was the turn of the Beaver Scouts. John Andrews, District Commissioner for Caterham was on hand to present David Osborne with the Chief Scout Bronze Award, the highest accolade a Beaver Scout can achieve. Not only did David achieve all six challenge badges required for the Bronze Award, but successfully achieved all 24 possible badges along with the Environment Badge. This has only been achieved by three people ever within 1st Caterham.

Simon Edge, Assistant Beaver Scout Leader said "We are all very proud of our young people and this is very well deserved recognition for the efforts, achievements and pride these people have shown in their everyday and Scouting lives. It is good for them, good for Caterham and good for Scouting generally that so many young people enjoy the activities and the ethos that Scouting brings to enhance a young person's academic and social life."
