On Wednesday, 22nd September The Whyteleafe Tavern hosted the finals of the 'Whyteleafe's Got Talent' singing competition in front of three independent judges. The eleven singers were the winners of the heats leading up to the finals, that had provided lively entertainment for the regulars at the pub.

The judges were very impressed by all the finalists, with each singer performing two numbers to a packed audience. The winner, Katherine Henry, moved the judges with her renditions of 'I will always love you' and 'Show me heaven', winning a cash prize of ¡ê200 donated by the landlord, Tom Dempsey and his partner Becky.

After congratulating Katherine, Tom said: "Everyone has had a good time this evening. We have heard some great singers tonight."
