Celebrations for the 100th year of Girl Guiding ended on Wednesday 20th October when the Caterham District Guiding community held a finale at Surrey National Golf Club in Chaldon. Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section members and pack leaders watched a live broadcast from the Chief Guide before members of the Guiding movement across the UK made their promise together at 8.10pm The evening ended with awards for Guiding volunteers and a disco for the girls.

District Commissioner, Helen Curran, said: "It's been a great celebration to be involved in; there have been camps, marathons, walks and fairs. I know it's late for the Rainbows tonight but it's something they'll be able to tell their children and grandchildren about!"
